In Charlotte, North Carolina, 1994, police are called to the home of a disturbed man who has threatened to kill his father with a loaded shotgun. After four hours of frustrated negotiations, police convince the man to leave the house but he still refuses to put down the gun. A SWAT team are hidden at the side of the house waiting to make their move. When the man steps off the porch and moves to the side of the house, he spots the SWAT team who order him to put the weapon down. When the man refuses and takes aim at the SWAT team they open fire and kill the suspect. An ambulance is called but there's nothing more they can do for the man. With the suspect pointing his gun at the officers they had no other choice but to defend themselves. This clip was taken from the documentary, Banned From Television (1998).
